The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has announced that the application window for the post-matric scholarship renewal process under the Dashmottar category will officially close on October 15, 2026. Eligible candidates enrolled in higher education programs across the state must complete their submissions before the midnight deadline.

This deadline applies to students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) courses who received financial aid in the previous academic cycle. Timely completion of the renewal process ensures uninterrupted fee reimbursement and maintenance allowances disbursed directly into verified bank accounts.

The scholarship scheme, managed through the official state portal, covers eligible scholars from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, General, and Minority communities. Officials stated that applicants must fulfill specific annual family income ceilings, set at up to ₹2,50,000 for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, and up to ₹2,000,000 for other groups.

Authentication protocols for the current academic session mandate Aadhaar-based One-Time Password verification alongside mandatory integration with the DigiLocker platform. Furthermore, the administration requires students to seed their bank accounts with their Aadhaar numbers to enable Direct Benefit Transfer transactions without administrative delays.

While renewal applications conclude on October 15, fresh applicants registering under the same post-matric category have until October 31, 2026, to submit their forms. The staggered timelines are designed to manage server traffic and streamline document verification by educational institutions.

Following online submission, candidates are required to print hard copies of their applications and submit them along with supporting documents to their respective schools, colleges, or universities. Institutional verification and forwarding stages will proceed through subsequent weeks ahead of fund disbursement scheduled for December.
