Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd has formally announced the strategic brand elevation and repositioning of three key hospitality assets situated within major technology and commercial corridors across Bengaluru and Hyderabad, effective November 1.
The corporate restructuring of these properties aligns facility amenities and service standards with distinct market segments, responding directly to shifting corporate travel demands within India's primary urban technology centres.
Following extensive refurbishment work, the Lemon Tree Hotel located in Electronics City, Bengaluru, has been upgraded to the upscale Lemon Tree Premier brand. The 175-key property features multiple dining outlets including Citrus Cafe, Slounge, and Republic of Noodles, alongside a swimming pool and a dedicated spa facility.
A parallel transition occurred in Hyderabad, where the Lemon Tree Hotel in Gachibowli transitioned to the Lemon Tree Premier banner. This 190-room establishment similarly incorporates extensive dining options, meeting spaces, a fitness centre, and recreational amenities designed to cater to high-yield business travelers.
Additionally, the Red Fox Hotel situated in Hyderabad's Hitec City micro-market has been rebranded as a standard Lemon Tree Hotel. This 121-room property offers conference facilities, a business centre, a cafe, and a fitness centre, completing the triple-property realignment.
Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, president of Lemon Tree Hotels, stated that the portfolio strategy is guided by market awareness and the changing requirements of guests frequenting commercial centers. Aligning existing operational assets with brands that accurately reflect their current physical attributes ensures better asset utilization.
The adjustments were formally disclosed to regulatory authorities under the Securities and Exchange Board of India listing regulations. The changes allow the hospitality group to maintain strict tier differentiation across its various brands while capturing higher-value corporate demand.
Market analysts expect the repositioned portfolio to strengthen the company's competitive standing in southern corporate markets as demand for premium midscale and upscale accommodations continues to expand across major metropolitan hubs.
