The Karnataka Examinations Authority has extended the deadline for admission fee payment and related post-allotment formalities for the first round of postgraduate admissions to October 9. The revised schedule applies to candidates who have secured seats in professional degree programmes across the state.
Thousands of students awaiting admission to Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications, and Master of Technology programmes are affected by the timing adjustments. The extension provides additional time for candidates to complete mandatory financial transactions and secure their allotted seats without administrative penalties.
Under the updated directive issued by the state agency, candidates must complete their fee remittance through designated bank e-challans within the stipulated timeframe. In addition to the financial transaction deadline, the timeline for downloading the mandatory seat confirmation slip has also been moved to the same date.
Students who selected Choice 1 and Choice 2 options during the initial allotment phase come under the purview of this notification. Choice 1 applicants are required to remit the prescribed fee and complete physical reporting to their assigned institutions, while Choice 2 candidates must clear the payment to retain their current allotment while keeping open the option for subsequent upgradation rounds.
Physical reporting at respective colleges has been scheduled to conclude following the completion of fee submissions. State authorities have instructed candidates to carry all original educational certificates, scorecards, and admission orders during institutional reporting to prevent any discrepancies during document verification.
The counselling process has experienced administrative schedule adjustments following procedural delays in receiving seat matrices from technical education departments. Officials reiterated that candidates must adhere strictly to the revised calendar published on the official portal to protect their admission status.
